There are so many things I could enumerate here, but I’ll just tick off a few:
Throw Ukraine Under the Bus
Cozying up to his buddy Vladimir Putin didn’t take very long at all. Within a few weeks, things were back to where they left off in his first administration. In a matter of a few weeks, he has flipped the U.S. from a strong ally of Ukraine and Europe to a friend of Russia.
Antagonize North American Trading Partners
In his first term, Trump renegotiated the NAFTA agreement. He said that the new resulting agreement was the best ever. Of course, now he wants to just throw it out, antagonizing both Mexico and Canada in the process. This can have nothing but bad results.
Allow DOGE to Run Roughshod
The methodology of finding “waste and abuse” by using a howitzer to kill a flea is counterproductive, at best. The result has been chaos, but wasn’t that the point all along? Since congress has done nothing to prevent this, it’s now up to the courts. But will Trump abide by any adverse court opinions?
Confirmation of Unqualified Cabinet Members
I heard today that Kash Patel, were he to request a security clearance for any government job, would not succeed in obtaining any level of clearance. Yet, here he is, with an automatic pass on that. Shame on the Republicans for this, RFK, Bondi, Hegseth, and all the other incompitents that have been appointed. When things fall apart, it’s on them.
Politicization of the DOJ
Just look at the cases that have been dismissed already and the investigations that have been started. Enough said.
Elon Musk
Elon Musk is in it for Elon Musk. Everything he does somehow points back to a benefit for him. He needs to go, right now.
The Unitary Executive Theory
Here is a great article about the big picture of what’s going on right now. Must reading:
